Claudia Lanese Garcia graduated from The University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelors Degree of Arts in Government in 1992. A true Longhorn, she continued her education at The University of Texas School of Law where she earned her Doctorate of Jurisprudence in 1995. She is licensed to practice law in the State of Texas since 1995.
Between 1997 and 2001, Claudia Lanese Garcia took a sabbatical from her law career to focus her efforts in journalism. She found a secondary passion at the local NBC affiliate, KGNS, as the Weekday News Anchor for the 6:00 P.M. and 10:00 P.M. newscasts. As a result, Claudia Lanese Garcia has a unique and one-of-a-kind perspective and experience in understanding the needs of the community.
In 2001, Claudia Lanese Garcia re-entered the legal field and joined the law firm of Wilson, Trevino, Freed, Valls & Trevino, L.L.P., (now known as Trevino, Haynes, L.L.P.), as an Associate where she was entrusted with representing clients in banking, mortgage lending, civil litigation, real estate, and foreclosures. She used that invaluable experience to establish her own independent firm.
